This video is a brief introduction to the Omniverse Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) Connector which consists of two plugins, a USD and an MDL plugin. The USD plugin enables import, export, and editing of Pixar USD formatted stages, meshes, cameras, lights, animations, etc. The NVIDIA MDL (Material Definition Language) works in tandem with the USD plugin to provide import, export, and editing of MDL materials in UE4. This tutorial shows creators, designers, and engineers how to access Omniverse Nucleus servers inside the UE4 editor, export a level to a USD stage, view it in Omniverse Create, and open it as USD/MDL in UE4.
