By using NVIDIA Jetson on board the satellite, image processing and fire detection can be achieved in under 60 seconds, dramatically reducing ground-based processing requirements and delivering near-real-time data to fire management teams. AI-powered cloud masking and onboard compression on the edge further refine data quality and push the boundaries of low-latency fire detection from space to assist fire management and suppression around the globe.
