In the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and computing, there's a pressing need to ensure equitable access to AI education and resources. This session aims to address this need by focusing on expanding AI training and access to nontraditional talents, including students and professionals from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and other peripheral communities. It will feature a panel discussion and potentially an interactive workshop led by prominent figures from academia, industry, and community organizations. Together, we'll explore strategies for tailoring curricula for the unique needs and strengths of these organizations, sharing resources between major tech companies and peripheral educational institutions, fostering talent through mentorships, and more.
