NERSC-10 Benchmarks on Grace Hopper and Milan-A100 Systems: A Performance and Energy Case Study

We'll analyze the performance and power/energy consumption of the NERSC-10 benchmarks, designed for the next system procurement at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), on NVIDIA’s Grace Hopper testbed and NERSC’s Perlmutter, a Cray EX system based on AMD Milan CPUs and NVIDIA A100 GPUs. In addition to providing detailed performance comparisons of NERSC-10 benchmarks on these two platforms, we'll present power characteristic analyses and share our insights on the performance and power/energy efficiencies of these two systems.
