The Lighting of the Future in Today's VR with NVIDIA RTXGI

We are living in a revolution in real-time computer graphics, with long-time offline technologies like ray tracing and global illumination suddenly feasible in interactive applications. Virtual Reality projects have particularly demanding frame rate requirements which can keep these applications a generation behind in graphics quality. In this session, we will be drawing from our extensive experience at Horizon Productions building state of the art VR/AR experiences for enterprise clients, to show how NVIDIA RTXGI can dynamically adjust lighting as the environment changes — even as the time of day and weather changes. The thought of doing this 2 years ago was unthinkable. We will show you how we utilize RTXGI in projects using the Unreal Engine, and show demos of how to speed up your workflow significantly using real-time lighting updates. We'll also discuss current limitations, and give advice on how to get the most bang out of RTXGI for your graphical buck.
