Scalable Collaborative Architectural Design in the AEC Industry with NVIDIA EGX and Omniverse

The distributed working model that most industries recently employed significantly impacted the collaborative approach typical to architectural design companies. The continual provision of high-performance hardware coupled with collaborative software has challenged and impacted many design practices' technology infrastructure. In addition, the development in ray tracing and real-time rendering increased visual communication, enabling the designer to engage in multi-methods of design presentation and review. This talk will show how global architecture firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), uses the NVIDIA EGX platform with NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation software as a scalable virtualisation infrastructure to provide high-end remote compute to our users. We will also showcase how we employ NVIDIA Omniverse for remote collaboration and visualisation and NVIDIA CloudXR to push the boundaries of visual communication through the design process.
