Leveraging Deep Learning on the Edge to Enhance 5G Radio Access Network L1 Performance

We'll highlight recent advances in machine learning for communications systems at the physical layer, including recent impacts within 3GPP and ITU adoption of these technologies. We'll provide a deep dive use case for how DeepSig has been focused on providing enhanced L1 processing within Open RAN systems. We'll also give an introduction to how machine learning-enhanced 5G physical layer technologies can reduce cost and power consumption while improving quality of experience and multi-user capacity, as well as enhancing interoperability and fault detection in shared and unlicensed spectrum deployments.
